Magee-Womens Global Health Residency & Research Program
The Global Health Residency and Research Program is a University of Pittsburgh initiative dedicated to advancing women’s health and surgical care through a long-term partnership with Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in Kisumu, Kenya. The program equips UPMC OB/GYN residents with critical experience in resource-limited settings while providing Kenyan trainees with mentorship, observerships, and access to new tools, training, and research opportunities.
Your gift directly fuels this mission and supports direct program costs. Every donation sends clinicians to Kenya and supports surgical training, cancer prevention, and maternal health initiatives. Together, we can expand access to quality care, strengthen global health leadership, and transform women’s health across borders.
